This dynamic presentation provides teams with many practical examples for setting up and running an effective classroom for students with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities. The Pyramid Approach to Education is reviewed and participants learn to apply these components to the classroom. Topics include physical set up of the room, use of reinforcement systems, determining appropriate lesson formats and data collection. In addition, many organizational tips are provided so that materials are accessible to students/staff and schedules are in place for students/staff. Participants will leave with easy to implement strategies that will improve any educational environment.
